Metaldehyde has stomach - poisoning effects. When snails ingest or come into contact with the pesticide, a large amount of acetylcholinesterase is released in their bodies, which destroys the special mucus within the snail bodies. This causes the snails to lose a large amount of water and die within a short time. This product is mainly used to control *Oncomelania hupensis*, the main host of schistosomiasis, in marshy areas.

Usage Technical Requirements

This product is mainly used to control *Oncomelania hupensis*. Apply the pesticide during the occurrence period of *Oncomelania hupensis* in marshy areas. When eliminating snails, the ambient temperature is preferably above 20°C. Do not apply the pesticide before heavy rain or storms to prevent the loss of the pesticide solution.
